Greetings and thank you for visiting my website.
My name is Chris Vecchiolla. I am a photographer specializing in women’s fashion, beauty, and portraits.
I lived on Miami Beach for 15 years, including 9 years as a full-time professional photographer for U.S. and European catalog, advertising, and model agency clients. My work spanned both location and studio assignments, with seasonal rotation between Miami Beach, Paris, and Munich.
I began my career on Miami Beach as an assistant photographer, working 3 years with American, Canadian, and European fashion and catalog photographers. Those assignments took me across the U.S., the Caribbean, and Europe, where I learned the craft through hands-on experience.
I was later hired by Creativ Team, a German advertising agency, as a full-time staff photographer, rotating between Munich in the summer and Miami Beach in the fall and winter. Thereafter, I continued as a freelance photographer for catalog clients and model agencies in Miami Beach and Paris, including Next, Elite, Metropolitan, Michelle Pommier, and others.
In 1998, I transitioned from photography to information technology and built a second successful career. From 1998 through 2023, I worked as a Senior Technical Program Manager, primarily in the software industry, including Computer Associates and VMware. That experience sharpened the discipline, technical fluency, and client management skills I now bring to photography.
After retiring from IT in 2023, I returned to photography and opened my studio in Cohasset, Massachusetts, on Boston’s South Shore. By 2025, I had published 17 fashion editorial stories, including 16 covers, in U.S. and European fashion magazines. In addition, I create portfolios for model agencies throughout New England and headshots for actors and business professionals.
Whenever possible, I attend immersive workshops to elevate my skills. I have been fortunate to study with Magnum photographer Alex Webb, Australian beauty photographer Peter Coulson, and NYC/LA headshot photographer Peter Hurley.
